Culture Yippee ki-yay. 20th Century Fox has answered the long debate about whether "Die Hard" is a Christmas movie. The production company declared the 1988 action flick as "the greatest Christmas story ever told" in a recently released new trailer. The recut jokingly provides much more of a Christmas vibe with the sound of sleighbells and cheerful music in the background, opening with Bruce Willis' character, John McClane, flying to the West Coast to be with his family for the holidays. "But when he gets stuck at the office Christmas party, it'll be a holiday he'll never forget," the classic voice-over says in a gleeful tone. "This Christmas, get ready to jingle some bells," the voice continues over a montage of action clips. The trailer concludes with the tagline referring to the film as, "The greatest Christmas story ever told." Screenwriter Jeb Stuart has previously argued that "Die Hard" is indeed a Christmas movie because of "the family aspect of it."
