After he missed a clutch free throw near the end of the fourth quarter in Sunday’s CHSAA Class AA intersectional quarterfinal against St. Raymond, Holy Cross forward Christian Wilson could only put his head down. A few minutes later, he was jumping for joy after he rebounded back and Holy Cross was able to recover en-route to a 75-70 upset over the Ravens. With Holy Cross holding onto a 61-58 lead in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, Wilson, who had made five of his six free throws at that point, missed the front end of a one-and-one from the free throw line. That gave the Ravens one final chance to tie the game, and, seconds later, Wilson saw St. Raymond’s Sidney Wilson hit a 25-foot foot shot at the buzzer to send the game to overtime. “After that three, I kind of put my head down, but the guys said keep going,” Wilson said. “And that was it, I knew I had to keep going, we’re in the quarterfinals so couldn’t turn back.” … [Read more...] about Holy Cross upsets St. Raymond, 75-70, in CHSAA Class AA boys basketball intersectional playoffs
