A POLICE inspector who strangled his wife before dumping her body in a lake after she discovered he had taken out a loan in her name has been found guilty of murder. Greater Manchester Police Inspector Darren McKie killed Detective Constable Leanne after spiralling into more than £100,000 of debt. The twisted 43-year-old strangled the mother of his three children last September after she began to uncover the truth about their finances. He then calmly picked up his kids from school, took them to ballet and cricket practice before giving them dinner. A "BRIGHT and beautiful" funeral will be held for a two-year-old girl who died when she was left strapped in a car that plunged into a river, her parents have said. Kiara Moore died after mum Kimberley Rowlands left her alone while she dashed into her partner's office to grab some cash, with the car rolling into the freezing River Teifi in Cardigan, West Wales. Her parents have been left reeling at the two-year-old's tragic death - and now face the devastating task of organising their daughter's funeral on her third birthday. A FAMILY is celebrating the birth of its first baby boy in nearly 90 years — at odds of 20,000/1. Arnie Ellis is the first male in five generations for the clan, which has produced ten girls over 86 years. This week he posed with mum Demi Berriman, 27, gran Donna, 43, great-gran Janice, 65, and great-great-gran Beryl Vaus, 86. Demi, of Pontefract, West Yorks, said: “Everybody is in awe of him, we’re obsessed.” Arnie was born two months prematurely last June with health problems including sepsis and gastroschisis, a birth defect where the intestines are outside the body.
