PONTE VEDRA, Fla. - A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle, according to St. Johns County Fire Rescue. The accident took place Wednesday around 6:15 a.m. on State Road A1A near Ponte Vedra Boulevard. The fire department said the pedestrian was airlifted to Memorial Hospital. FARGO — Elm Street North has closed between 13th and 15th Avenues North because of rising Red River levels, city of Fargo officials said in a news release Tuesday May, 21. The closure started at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Traffic will be detoured via Third Street North. Elm Street will remain closed until the water recedes below the road, officials said. At 11:15 Tuesday, the river was at 18.29 feet in Fargo, according to the National Weather Service. The river was forecast to reach a peak of 19.5 feet on Friday, May 24.
