Louise Redknapp lands gig supporting Britney Spears at Brighton Pride

LOUISE Redknapp's singing career continues to blossom as the newly-single pop star is named one of Britney Spears' opening acts at the Brighton Pride in August. The mum-of-two, 43, joins Ella Eyre and Pixie Lott on the bill for the legendary singer's Piece Of Me show, just months after her divorce from Jamie Redknapp. The former Eternal band member is listed simply as "Louise" in the starry line-up on marketing material for the huge gig. She will take to the stage before the American star for the headline event on Saturday 4 August at Preston Park in Brighton. Britney will be performing her Piece Of Me show for the first time outside Las Vegas, where she has just completed her residency. In June, Louise will also be appearing at the Isle Of Wight Festival as she continues to revive her singing career. The exciting announcement for Louise comes as it was revealed her ex Jamie is dating model Julia Restoin Roitfeld. According to Mail On Sunday, ex-Liverpool FC ace Jamie, 44, seems to have really moved on, scoring with the mum-of-one stunner who has more than 300,000 Instagram followers. She is also and art director and founder of maternity website Romy and the Bunnies, which offers "inspiration for the modern mother". Her social media is littered with cute pics of her posing with her little girl, five-year-old Romy Nicole  - or jetting around the world in skimpy outfits. Jamie and Louise Redknapp officially divorced last year after a 19-year marriage. According to reports the quickie separation took just 20 seconds to be sealed, signed and delivered. They are parents to two sons Beau and Charles. Last month Louise was spotted leaving the Brits with a male pal after a wild night out at the awards bash. Her attendance at the bash comes after she announced that she'd signed a new record deal with Warner. Britney Spears’ name is popping up all over the Olympics

Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson put a move on Canadian goaltender Shannon Szabados that resembled a Kyrie Irving crossover to help the U.S. beat Canada in a shootout Thursday. But everyone’s also talking about the nickname for her gold-medal-winning deke. Twin sister and teammate Monique Lamoureux-Morando explained to NBC: “The last four years, one of our coaches, Peter Elander, has worked on that move with us. It’s called ‘Oops, I Did It Again’. So she did ‘Oops’ against Russia and she did it again against Szabados there. “I’ve seen it a handful of times and it usually works every time.” Britney Spears made “Oops” a hit in 2000 but it’s just one of several examples of how the singer has been making her stamp on the Pyeongchang Olympics. Who saw that coming? Spears has cheered on American Olympians Adam Rippon and Gus Kenworthy. She urged Kenworthy on Twitter to “gimme, gimme more on the slopes today!!” — a reference to one of her songs. Kenworthy told Out magazine, “This year, my first big win happened when I was listening to ‘Gimme More’ by Britney Spears so I’ve listened to it for every contest.” Rippon tweeted on Saturday, “I could feel you on the ice with me @britneyspears.” American biathlete Maddie Phaneuf called “Toxic” her pump-up song. American snowboarding gold medalist Chloe Kim said “Toxic” likely was one of the songs she listened to before her final run down the halfpipe. Bye Bye, Brit: Inside the final show of Britney Spears’ 4-year Las Vegas residency

After four years as one of the top acts on one of the world’s most famous streets, Britney Spears has wrapped her residency show on the legendary Las Vegas Strip. “It’s bittersweet,” she said on Instagram before the last performance. The pop star initially launched her “Britney: Piece of Me” show at Planet Hollywood in December 2013. Originally slated for a two-year run, the pop extravaganza was extended for two more years after the show sold out time and time again. In capping off her final show on New Year’s Eve, Spears did what she’s done for four years: She delivered her hits. For about 100 minutes, Spears was nonstop, dancing around the stage seductively when she wasn’t backstage for one of her many costume changes. Tonight is the night! Saying goodbye both to Vegas and 2017! It’s bittersweet, but I’m looking forward to an amazing 2018!! Don’t miss my performance on @RockinEve starting at 8/7c on ABC!! ????????#BRITNEYxRockinEve A post shared by Britney Spears (@britneyspears) on Dec 31, 2017 at 10:42am PST “It’s almost f—ing New Years! Who’s going to get naughty tonight,” she asked the audience full of diehard fans at 11 p.m., many of whom wore shirts bearing her face. “Four years, who knew,” Spears said as she left the stage for the last time. However, there is a real possibility that Spears could be returning to the desert again. As her final show grew near, chatter in entertainment circles suggested that Spears would eventually sign on for another Las Vegas residency in the near future. Spears’ show helped usher in a new era for Las Vegas in regards to residency acts. The city was once known as a place for older artists to live out their glory years. Thanks in part to Spears, Vegas reinvented itself as a place to see top younger artists, including Jennifer Lopez, Backstreet Boys, Bruno Mars, all of whom currently have residency Continue Reading
