A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties -- expect slippery roads and limited visibility, and use caution while driving, according to the weather service. Andy Humbles Nashville Tennessean Published 4:17 PM EST Nov 14, 2018 A proposed planned unit development for the west side of Lebanon seeks to rezone about 395 acres that could allow approximately 1,200 new homes. Stoney Farms is the working name of the proposal for land near Cairo Bend Road and State Route 109. The product mix is still being finalized, but will include single-family homes, one-level cottages and villas and townhomes, said Wayne Miller of Goodall Homes. The price range is anticipated to be between $200,000 and $400,000, Miller said. Lebanon planning commissioners have recommended approval for the zoning request. City council approval is still needed. A community meeting on Stoney Farms was scheduled for Wednesday at Lebanon City Hall. Goodall Homes is also the developer for Lebanon's ongoing StoneBridge development off Leeville Pike in Lebanon. The developed would go on 44 acres known as the Reese Farm. A house and several outbuildings currently exist on the property. Homes would range between 77 single-family detached structures to 67 town homes. For the project to go forward, city leaders would have to approve a rezoning from an agricultural district (AG) to a specific development-residential district (SD-R). Documents for the development show that the property will back up to the future extension of Mack Hatcher Memorial Parkway. Additionally, the northeast boundary of the property borders the Harpeth River. Plans show a landscape buffer between the future roadway and the existing Rizer Point neighborhood. Girls Preparatory School is proud to announce three student-athletes have participated in National Signing Day. In a school-wide assembly Wednesday, seniors Larkin Brown, Allison Smith, and Anna Croxall signed National Letters of Intent in front of their supporters—coaches, classmates, teachers, and family. Across the country, nearly eight million students participate in high school athletics. Of that group, only about six percent go on to compete at NCAA schools. “The challenge of reaching the next level of play for these athletes involves long hours of practice, consistent dedication, and numerous personal sacrifices,” says Jay Watts, GPS Athletic Director. “It also involves a great deal of support from families, coaches, and teammates.
