From Instagram to Twitter and Facebook, the 21-year-old man suspected of storming a Sebring bank and killing five people kept a low profile. Five people died Wednesday when a man identified as Xaver — a former Florida Department of Corrections correctional officer trainee — opened fire at a SunTrust bank in Sebring in what Highlands County Commissioner Don Elwell called a "hostage situation" when speaking to CNN. Little is known about Xaver, who state officials confirmed late Wednesday was hired in November 2018 to work at Avon Park Correctional Institution near the Avon Park Air Force Range. Patrick Manderfield, a spokesperson for the agency, reported that Xaver "had no discipline while employed with the department," but resigned on Jan. 9. The Houston Rockets star has been tormenting opponents who have no discernible method to slow him down. While doing so, Harden has gone to work on building another MVP-caliber season. He came to Madison Square Garden Wednesday night riding a run of 20 consecutive games with at least 30 points, a streak the defensively challenged Knicks couldn't end. After reeling off a 19-point first quarter, Harden finished with 61 points to lead the Rockets to a 114-110 victory, sending the Knicks to their seventh straight loss and 10th consecutive on their home court. Harden tied Kobe Bryant for most opponents by an opponent at the Garden. Bryant did it in 2009. Michael and Jim Ayello Indianapolis Star Published 9:31 PM EST Jan 23, 2019 INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo went down with a right knee injury in the second quarter Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors. The Pacers categorized the injury as "serious" and said the guard he will have an MRI on Thursday. Oladipo was recovering to defend Toronto's Pascal Siakam, who had jumped to catch a long pass. Oladipo fell in the lane and grabbed his right knee immediately. Players from both teams gathered around Oladipo as Pacers trainers attended to him. Oladipo missed 11 games earlier this season with a knee injury. The Pacers went 7-4 in his absence. He was taken off the court on a rolling cart but waved to fans on the way off. He had four points and three rebounds in 10 minutes Wednesday.
