Excellent sound, small footprint. The speaker grill is easy to take on and off, and installation was a breeze.

it looks good and performs as expected. I was lacking in voice clarity and this took care of the issue.

Easy to install; but, sound is a bit muddled and muffled.

These speakers deliver a tinny, brash sound. I had cheaper KLM center speaker and I am going to replace these with my older speaker. I am disappointed with the sound quality. They seem to produce a harsh sound.

Wow! Shockingly surprised! This center channel speaker replaces my expensive Phase Tech speaker. The BIC is very efficient and reproduces vocals very clear and concise. The old Phase Tech sounds muddy and lifeless comparatively.

I got this for Christmas after reading the very positive reviews for this. I’m not an audio aficionado, but I definitely say that my all BIC system sounds incredible. When I visit friends and listen to their systems, I have zero buyers remorse. My system sounds much better. I couldn’t be happier with this center and the two floorstanding speakers I bought (DV-64s).

First off let me say this is the most important part of any surround sound system. yes I am very happy with my purchase for the price I couldn’t get anything close I am an audiophile and these get 5 star for value to sound. I will be the first to admit when they get too much base put it to "11" you do get mild distortion you do get mild distortion. However when it is turned to 10 or below they are crisp and clear.

A little bigger than I measured/thought. But came to be OK. Solid and sounds pretty good. Worth the money.

I wasn’t in love with this speaker when I first hooked it up.. Honestly, I was disappointed. However, after a good amount of wear in, the sound is rich and clear and I couldn’t be happier! if at first you are disappointed, give it about a week and you’ll end up as happy as I am.

I have a Yamaha RX-V675 receiver with Yamaha NS-6490 bookshelf speakers for the front surrounds. The sub is a Yamaha YST-SW216BL. Yeah, I enjoy my Yamaha sound components. My center channel speaker was a holdover Sony from my previous setup, and it just wasn’t cutting it. None of the Yamaha center channel speakers would fit in my entertainment cabinet, so I purchased this BIC after reading many positive reviews from multiple sources. Quite simply, this speaker is impressive. I can now comfortably use the surround system at low volumes with the kiddos sleeping and hear dialogue wonderfully. Turn up the volume, and the precise sound is just as enjoyable. I couldn’t be more pleased with this speaker!

As with other BIC products I’ve purchased and reviewed, this thing is out-friggin’-standing for its price.

Handles high loads well. Produces clear and understandable dialogue in a noisy home theater environment. Bass is a bit muddy, probably due to the porting in the back.

If you’re shopping for home theater on a budget, this is a really good choice.

Just barely ok sound.Nothing to get excited about.Economical price…..but….it has too high a crossover point at 5kz.For clearer sound,I would have preferered,a 2kz or 3kz crossover point.I notice other B I C center channel speakers cross over at 3.5 kz.I would recommend this speaker to only those that do not mind a little lack of clarity.

Better than Polk centers in my opinion. This center gets it right. Great vocal clarity at any volume. Good bass response goes well withe the dv64 towers and dv62si. You truly can’t get better quality without spending 4 times more.

WOW sounds so great better than my stock Yamaha HTIB glad i got it, even tho their only 5 1/4 and not 6.5 they provide clear sound with minor adjustment to the receiver. Quality is good and looks nice and match my book shelf speaker stands and the rest of my home theater system.

This thing sound great and puts out some bass when my crossover is set to 80. But man is it huge the pictures dont show how truly massive this thing is. This speaker is like half the size of my pioneer 920 receiver lol.

Already had all my speakers (Sony) except the center for a 7.1 system. This is the center and the sound is excellent. It has a very nice appearance and is well constructed.

I bought this to be the center channel in my living room setup. I own the DV-62 for my home theater setup, however, my entertainment center couldn’t handle the size of that speaker, so I chose this one instead.

I’ve been very happy with the purchase of this speaker. It made a huge difference over my previous center channel (some KLH model). They say the center channel is one of the most important pieces in your home theater, and this one delivers on that promise.

I’d recommend any of the BIC speakers to anyone. I have both in-wall and floor standing models in various setups, and I’ve been extremely impressed with them, especially when you consider how much cheaper they are than their competitors.

The DV-52CLRB center channel speaker from BIC was the last component in my surround system to be updated, and I am extremely pleased with the results. I had a no-name center speaker from Radio Shack and voices were often muddled and overwhelmed with background noise. Now the clarity is amazing for the price (which is very reasonable by the way) and the unit is handsome. The only addition I would recommend is the addition of some rubber \\”feet\\” on the bottom (which I did). I was watching \\”Act Of Valor\\” at action volume level and during the hostage rescue escape, when the patrol boats started firing the awesome guns at the bad guys, my DV-52 vibrated right off the front of my glass shelf! Fortunately it wasn’t very far from the floor and I had extra cable attached to the speaker. So – Be Warned!! Overall = EXCELLENT speaker!

Seems BIC has done it again, they have produced another speaker that sounds much better than one would expect and at a price that beats the competition. My situation is that I don’t have a lot of room and most center channel speakers take up quite a bit of space. The speakers in this are virtually the same size as the Polk CS1 yet the cabinet is substantially smaller and that counts in my set up. Bought this speaker to replace a smaller BIC DV32CLB which was being challenged sitting between a couple of Sony SS-F6000 towers.

It sounded good right out of the box, but has mellowed out as it has loosened up and I am enjoying the difference whether watching a movie or sports. Sixty bucks shipped is an incredible bargain, and it is well made and has a 7 year warranty to boot. If space limitations weren’t a problem I probably would have gone with the DV62CLR or the Polk CS2, but I am not the least bit disappointed in the quality and clear sound it produces and would highly recommend this speaker to anyone looking for a crisp high quality center channel speaker. There are better speakers, but nothing comes close in this price range. It is always nice when you get more than what you think you should have gotten given what you spent. This speaker is a winner.

i have the bigger brother 62clr in the bigger room so when I was looking for a smaller center for a smaller room I thought of Bic and got the smaller brother and I am happy. I also am a fan of the Bic tower and surround speakers good quality without the high price tag.

after reading reviews..got this bic thru best buy for $60 and free shipping.sound blends in well between my polk ts100s and sony surrounds-subwoofer.. i’ve saved money and grief on good natural sounding speakers. very good quality and output compared to anything near this price..add on..I dont know why people buy hype or spend on modified crossovers to suit another persons tastes. sound is subjective-do u hear what I hear? The best sound i’ve heard is from a 1970s EPI and JBL bookshelf -equalized by radio shack. The harmonics were stunning-like a fine violin-it captured you and held you there. The point is- This was a combination of excellent components, acoustics, and position. Individualy, it takes flexibility -or a whole lotta cash-to sustain this potential. Happy hunting!

Very nice center speaker. Clear and crisp and capable of handling power but not power hungry. Great looking too and sits at just the right height for flat panel sets. Not one regret! Thanx again for such fast service and delivery.

Almost any good center channel is huge in dimensions. And this one is no exception. I have no space constraints for speakers but if you do mock up a box to the size of this speaker and make sure it will fit. Also will say construction is amazing on this thing for this price. As well as well know the sound is. And the wood is not black like some would think. It’s more of an dark grey ash colored. But very beautiful. There is no better center channel for under $60.00 and in fact the only other center that could compare under the $100 mark is the polk CS10. If you’re putting together a sound system on a budget, and want quality BIC is amazing choice.

For $60, this is a very practical center channel speaker. The two 5.25\\” drives are typically designed to cover the human voice spectum, a practical range between 200 and 4000 Hz. The tweeter, however, is a little week in my opinion. It is a 0.5\\” unit with the crossover set at 5000 Hz. The high frequence signal, as well the low frequence one, should be well handled by the main speakers and the subwoofer. Few people can hear anything below 50 Hz or above 17K Hz. Signals in these spectrum are not directional. This speaker handles enough power in my 18×12 TV room. I am a budget orianted guy. Save the money but buy some meterial to make the room acoustically dead will be much more cost effective.

I was looking for a new home theater system for about $500. I looked at the simple home theater in a box packages, but they all seemed to lack quality. In addition to listening to movie soundtracks, I needed this system to sound good with Ipod and radio. I decided to package my own system, and couldn’t be happier. I have the DV-52CLRB (center), a BIC V1020 sub, (2) BIC DV-52 for right and left and a refurbished Yamaha HTR 5063 receiver (not purchased from Amazon, but through another online retailer). I am by no means an audiophile, but for less than $600 this system sounds amazing! I can only imagine how good it will sound when I expand to 7.1. Best of all, the Yamaha receiver is 3-D HDMI compatible. Don’t spend the $$$ on a Bose. Go this route, and you’ll be thrilled!

Bought this to go with the DV62si’s. This center channel is just as great as the DV62si’s, with the same break-in period. Want to know more? Read my review of the DV62si’s, everything applies to this speaker as well. Very under priced for the performance! Just another AWESOME BIC America speaker!

Based on Amazon reviews I took the chance of buying a speaker that I had not seen or heard. What a wonderful difference from the Bose mini-speaker I was using for the front center channel while watching TV and watching DVDs. The speaker provides great clarity to conversations that were previously garble. This little guy packs quite a punch and is a good mate to the other BIC speakers I bought at the same time. They are great, too. I’m glad I took the chance and have absolutely no regrets and much enthusiasm for making this purchase (or the other BIC speakers, which include a pair of the DV62si and a 1220 subwoofer. They are all an unbeatable value for the price.

if your looking for power go elsewere, but if you looking for a older system that produces clear crisp voices down to the slighest cough this is the way to go. bigger then seems in picture. and yes this system needs a two week break in period before you get the full sound.

A center channel speaker performs a vital task. It delivers 98% of the dialog in everything you watch. I will say that initially (pre-calibration) I was disappointed with the performance of the DV52CLR. I had to turn up the volume to uncomfortable levels where my DV62s were screaming just to properly hear what people were saying through the DV52CLR. I was upset & assumed that I had made a mistake for not sonically matching my center to my other speakers. As it turns out, all I needed to do was adjust the crossover to allow the subwoofer to handle some of the lower freq. which added the \\”umpf\\” I was looking for.

Where the DV52CLR lacks in volume, it makes up for in clarity. It recreates the sounds of peoples voices very well, delivering even the smallest of details. It shares the same exquisite build quality of the DV64 floorstanding speakers. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say it could probably withstand a nuclear blast. And finally, one of my favorite attributes of the DV52CLR is its elegant design. BIC America has really done an incredible job with the creation of the Venturi line. It has been an excellent addition to my living room & would definitely look great in yours too.

I decided to do an upgrade to my home theater system and purchased the Pioneer VSX-819H-K receiver. I am on a budget so I upgraded my home theater in a box Onkyo speakers and purchased the BIC America DV62sis for my left and right and this DV-52CLB for my center. I have been very pleased with the sound quality coming out of these speakers. I play a lot of Blu-rays using DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD and this center channel speaker provides great crisp dialogue. I have no complaints and will buy from them again.

I bought this speaker to finish out a complete BIC 5.1 system using 4 of the DV52SI satellite speakers and a 10\\” 110W BIC sub I’ve had for years. My local ‘high-end’ A/V store turned me on to this brand back in the 90’s when I first started out in the home theater world, and it’s hard to believe they’re still delivering some of the best ‘bang for your buck’ in the speaker world. It’s a nice, solid speaker, doesn’t look or feel cheap at all in my opinion. I’ve never subscribed to the \\”breaking in\\” speakers idea, but I have to say that when I first started using this speaker, the sound was lacking in the high-range, and almost sounded muddy. I thought I’d gotten a lemon, but I wanted to give it a chance. After giving it a few days of normal use, my concerns evaporated, so it may just be that this is one of those rare speakers that actually DOES need a little breaking-in period before it can perform at its best. It also seemed more sensitive than my last center channel, as far as placement (had to make sure it extended out a bit from the cabinet where it sits under the TV, which greatly helped the ‘muddy’ sound I thought i was hearing). I can crank the volume up as loud as I want, and this thing doesn’t seem to mind. I’m very happy with my purchase, and I will continue to recommend this brand (and this particular model).

This is a great sounding, high power handling center channel speaker. This was my second purchase of a BIC product and I have been very impressed with both. I recently replaced an older JBL center channel and the BIC DV-52CLRB was a much improved replacement. My system is more geared towards movies instead of music and discrete center channel sound is extremely crip and clean even at high volume. I have a feeling I will be buying more from BIC America.

I didn’t like the frequency response at all. This center channel made it very hard to understand certain people talking in movies. It had a huge hole in the frequency response. I temporarily put a cheap bookshelf back and the difference was incredible. I could not see that the speaker was damaged in any way, but maybe it was defective? I know the tweeter was working, but the bass was so high compared to the highs that it was awful. I retured it to Amazon for a refund, and got an Infinity PC350, which is just too big in my opinion, but it sounds great.

I own 3 of these and use them for left, right and center, very nice sounding, for the price you cant beat them, I checked out some JBL’s last night at best buy and the drivers in these BIC’s seem better quality. Only problem with the BIC are there are not the best looking, but in my medium size living room I get alot of good detailed sound. Was looking to upgrade this Christmas but after looking around I think these are still keepers until I can afford some expensive one’s.

You won’t find a better center channel speaker or warranty at any price from any other brand when matching size or specifications of actual components.

BIC doesn’t spend a lot of money on hype, slick websites, product manuals, or advertising. They just make great speakers that despite the price are actually of amazing quality.
