This is an exquisite collection of poems in rhyme by Joel J. Gerber. I loved each one for different reasons but the collection overall because the reader can feel the beat of the poet’s heart deep within every poem shared. It is obvious to the reader that the poet feels emotions deeply and has had a multitude of life experiences as a poet can’t express the complexities of emotions this transparently and this profoundly unless through personal experience and with benevolence. In reading each poem, the reader has a very sensory experience as the words express a visual treasure for one’s thoughts as they paint the colors of the scenes and depths of emotions that are created when one is looking for love, discovering love with another, engrossed in the passion of love, held together by the resilience of love, living ordinary lives but still enthralled by the delights and simple pleasures of living, the vulnerabilities of loving, engaged in life with giggles and laughter, and reminds of us how precious and fragile love is and how devastating the loss whether by broken relationship or death.
Prior to the start of the poetry collection, the poet gives acknowledgement to his family, friends, and loved ones and most importantly to God for the gift of poetry within him. As a reader, I want to say a special thank you and give a hug to each family member, friend, and loved one that encouraged the publication of this dream come true. I give my heartfelt prayers of thanksgiving for the poet’s talents and the blessings that he communicates to each reader with his gifted poetry.
If I was a poem, I would want to be written by Joel J. Gerber. I know I could trust him to express the poem with honesty, with joy and laughter but especially with love from the beat of his heart.

Great book! Amazing ! ART! Truth!
Mr. Gerber has a way with words that so few possess. He bares his soul through his poetry and this bears testament to that fact. It takes the reader through every wonderful emotion of the human heart… love, laughter, and joy. I highly recommend this book and give it 5 stars!!
I would suggest this book to anyone who likes poetry. It’s a great feel and written well. A Must buy!
