Warriors adjust on fly after Friday’s game at Phoenix is postponed

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is taking the glass-half-full approach to the news that Friday night’s game at Phoenix has been postponed in accordance with the league’s coronavirus health and safety protocols: At least Golden State will get two straight days of practice. After Thursday night’s game in Denver, the Warriors are flying back to San Francisco, where they’ll have an off day before practicing Saturday and Sunday ahead of Monday’s nationally televised game against the Lakers at Staples Center. Having two consecutive days of practice is a much-appreciated development for a new-look roster still trying to acclimate to playing with Stephen Curry. Typically, NBA teams practice only sporadically during the regular season.
