He confirmed minor calf strain. Out a few weeks. He will not miss season opener. Williams was the Broncos’ 7th-round pick in the 2018 draft. He was signed off the practice squad by Jacksonville, then cut by the Jaguars in May.ILB Todd Davis on his injury at end of practice: “It was the very last (No.) 1 rep I had of the whole day. The very last play. I went to plant and run towards the ball, the ball was thrown and I just felt something kind of pull in my calf. Nothing major happened.’’Regarding #Broncos LB Todd Davis …
Calf injuries are tricky … Looked it up to remind: In 2013, #Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis injured calf on Aug. 17, had setback in Week 1 practice (missed first two games), started in Week 3 (lasted three snaps) and missed next two games.Getting ready for live shot at 6 pm, talking #Broncos first day. Fangio’s Fundamentals, Flacco and injuries. Todd Davis out for a bit. And #Broncos , by the way, bringing back RB David Williams for depth. Was in camp last year. Lindsay made him expendable last summer. #Denver7 Confirming report by @NickiJhabvala , #Broncos Todd Davis could be sidelined roughly 3 weeks with a strained calf. Broncos lack depth at position. Joe Jones could see more reps along with second-year LB Keishawn Bierria. #Denver7 per source, #Broncos signing RB David Williams and waiving OL Nathan Jacobson.Source confirms @NickiJhabvala item that #Broncos LB Todd Davis’ calf strain could sideline him for 3-4 weeks.

I went long on KOA’s eventual rollout here: theathletic.com/1080010/2019/0…RB David Williams is back in the Broncos building, per league source. He was their 7th-rd pick last year who Jax signed off their practice squad. He played for Jaguars last year. Was cut in May. If Williams passes physical as expected, Broncos plan is to re-sign him. #9sports #Broncos @nrfant on difference between college and NFL. “It’s a little bit faster. I feel like competition is higher also. You go against better players every day on every play, but it’s just bringing your A-game every play.” Fant’s emergence in offense is critical, IMO. #Denver7 Now if the #Broncos could wear an old helmet with ‘D’ on it …#Broncos president Joe Ellis on honoring late owner Pat Bowlen this year, indicating decal will be on helmet for more than 2019 … https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D_ytWaYUEAAcFFu.png#Broncos @ESanders_10 continues to leave no doubt will be ready for opener.
