James Reitz, 35, is charged with theft by unlawful taking between $500 and $10,000, said Louisville Metro Police spokesman Officer Matt Sanders. Arrest records for Reitz were not immediately available. Sanders said a tip from the department’s anonymous tip line led detectives to Reitz, who confessed to the crime. Preston St. Various items, including garden lights, vases, crosses and artificial floral displays were found at Reitz’s home and have been returned to the cemetery, Sanders said. Police shared photos of the found property and asked anyone who owns the items to contact the cemetery at 502-634-0890.
