As CBS All Access moves forward with its “Twilight Zone” reboot with Joran Peele, another Rod Serling anthology television series is getting a second life. “Teen Wolf” creator Jeff Davis and “Midnight, Texas” executive producer David Janollari will revive Serling’s “Night Gallery” for SyFy, according to Deadline. Updated for the 21st century ,the new “Night Gallery” will reportedly explore and exploit every modern nightmare imaginable. An air date has not yet been announced. During its 1969 to 1973 run on NBC, “Night Gallery” offered up tales of the supernatural with Serling’s trademark irony and morality. Its pilot episode featured the directorial debut of Steven Spielberg, as well as one of the last acting performances by Joan Crawford. MeTV currently has the broadcast rights for “Night Gallery” reruns, which it airs in an edited, 30-minute format.
