STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged with groping a stranger in a Prince’s Bay park in broad daylight. Jasur Sayfullaev, 27, of Quentin Road, Brooklyn, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with misdemeanor forcible touching, sexual abuse and harassment, according to the criminal complaint. The incident occurred on July 1 at about 4:30 p.m. in Wolfe’s Pond Park, located near Hylan Boulevard and Cornelia Avenue, the complaint said. The suspect allegedly approached a woman at the park’s beach, touched her breast over her bathing suit and then fled, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation. Sayfullaev, who works as a cab driver, was a stranger to the victim, the source said. Released on his own recognizance, Sayfullaev is due back in Criminal Court on Jan. 16, according to public records. The suspect’s attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
