Kevin Tresolini Delaware News Journal Published 8:31 PM EST Dec 7, 2018 Harvard University junior Kieran Tuntivate, a Charter School of Wilmington graduate, recently completed a successful cross-country season with a 47th-place finish at the NCAA Championships. Tuntivate won the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships individual title at Princeton, where he covered the 8-kilometer course in 24:30.2. He later finished second at the NCAA Division I Northeast Regional in Buffalo in 32:32.4 over a 10K layout. The NCAA Championships course in Madison, Wisconsin, was also a 10K route that Tuntivate ran in 30:06.1. Tuntivate won last April’s open 5,000 meters at the Penn Relays in 13:58.77. Villanova University’s Lydia Olivere, the freshman from Padua Academy, covered the 6K women’s course at the NCAA meet in 21:40.4 to place 178th and was the fifth runner for 24th-place Villanova. Olivere had previously placed seventh in the Big East Championships in 20:59.5 in Indiana and ninth in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals in 21:24.6 at Penn State. Another strong cross-country season was turned in by Wilmington Charter grad Kevin Murray. The Naval Academy junior won the Patriot League title in 25:27.5 over an 8K course at Bucknell and then was 11th in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals at Penn State in 31:27 over 10K but didn’t qualify for the NCAA meet.
