BEDFORD, Ohio — Investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding the person or people who intentionally set a Dec. 1 fire that destroyed a vacant Bedford house – the second arson at the home within three weeks. Someone broke into the home on the 700 block of Northfield Road on Nov. 10 and set a small interior fire, the State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau said. Firefighters responded about 11 p.m. Saturday to another fire that destroyed the home, which was being remodeled by the owner, the State Fire Marshal’s office said. The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the fire.
