Chris Gadd Nashville Tennessean Published 1:46 PM EST Dec 8, 2018 White Bluff’s annual Electric Light Christmas Parade was postponed until next weekend due to wintry precipitation on Saturday. Town officials made the announcement Saturday morning on Facebook with the following post: Due to the weather and concerns for the safety of our parade participants and viewers, the White Bluff Christmas Parade has been rescheduled for next Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 4:30 pm. We apologize for any inconvenience. The parade will make it’s usual route west on Highway 70 through the heart of White Bluff. On the same day is the town’s traditional White Bluff Breakfast with Santa at the White Bluff Community Center. Breakfast is 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. Cost is $5 for all-you-can-eat pancakes with bacon and sausage — and, of course, photos with Santa. Christmas Parade theme this year is “Rocking around the Christmas Tree.” The grand marshals are all Dickson County Schools leaders: Creek Wood Principal Polly Spencer; William James Principal Jan Ford; White Bluff Elementary Principal Gale Mosley; and County Schools Director Dr. Danny Weeks. The principals and director were chosen in celebration of all White Bluff area schools receiving a level 5 Reward School this year. The White Bluff leaders hope to have school teachers as the parade judges. The parade starts at William James Middle and ends at William James after circling through town. As always, its an electric parade, so most floats will be decorated with lights.
