Water leak at Duxbury nursing home forces residents to relocate

Visit The Boston Globe Share on Twitter Share on Facebook Comment on this Scroll to top of page By Alejandro Serrano Globe Correspondent  November 10, 2018 A major water leak at a Duxbury nursing home forced 75 residents to be relocated to local hospitals and other nursing home facilities Friday night, according to a fire official. “The leak is only affecting one side of the facility,,” Duxbury Fire Capt. Rob Reardon said on Twitter, adding that the nursing home had 120 beds. Bay Path Nursing Home at 308 Kingston Way is operated by BaneCare of Braintree. Officials at the nursing home could not be reached for comment Friday night. Advertisement “Strike team of ambulances are on scene. Very active scene,” Reardon said in an earlier tweet. Sign up for more newsletters here Initially, the residents were relocated within the building. Thirty ambulances were being used to transport patients Friday night.
