By City News Service | PUBLISHED: November 10, 2018 at 11:24 am | UPDATED: November 10, 2018 at 11:24 am GRANADA HILLS – Detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating a driver who left the scene after striking and fatally injuring a 59- year-old woman crossing a street in Granada Hills. The victim, a resident of Lompoc in Santa Barbara County, was crossing northbound Devonshire Street east of Balboa Boulevard about 9:25 p.m. Thursday when she was struck by an eastbound car, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The woman was not in a marked crosswalk, police said. The driver of the black sports sedan did not stop to render aid as required by law, according to the LAPD. The victim was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. Anyone with information about the fatal collision was urged to call (818) 644-8116 to speak with Investigator James Takishita of the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division.
