A pedestrian was hit by a bus Tuesday morning in Washington, the Warren County Department of Public Safety reports. The first call was at 6:48 a.m. at Route 57 and Route 31 North, the department said. A medical helicopter landing zone was requested for the borough park, but the helicopter couldn’t fly due to the weather, dispatches said. The Warren County Transportation bus remained at 7:15 a.m. on Route 57. The driver was the only person on the bus, dispatches said. The busy road was shut near the bus. An ambulance had headed to a hospital by that point, the department showed on its incidents page. A borough ambulance was seen just after 7:30 a.m. with a police escort heading west on Route 22 in Palmer Township. There are trauma centers at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill and Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township.
