To celebrate their two-year anniversary, Pajarito owners Tyge Nelson and Stephan Hesse will hold pop-up dinners on Dec. 5 and 6, featuring guest chefs Justin Carlisle and John Kraus. Carlisle is the chef/partner at three Milwaukee restaurants and a four-time James Beard nominee. In 2014, his restaurant Ardent was a James Beard semifinalist for best new restaurant. Carlisle also owns ramen- and taco-themed restaurants. Kraus is the owner and chef at Patisserie 46 and Rose Street Patisserie. In 2016, he was invited to join Relais Desserts, a 100-member fraternity of the best French pastry chefs, an international who’s who of the bakery and chocolatier universe. The best news of all? You can actually make a reservation for the usually reservation-free restaurant. Dinner seats are ticketed — you pay $20, which is applied to your final tab when you attend the event.
