A 47-year-old woman from Opelika died in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 280 Friday night, Lee County Coroner Bill Harris said. The crash happened just after 5 p.m. in the eastbound lane Highway 280 near Alabama 147, Harris said. Sharron Robinson Fuller was driving east on Highway 280 when she slowed for a vehicle in front of her and struck that vehicle, Harris said. Then, a roll-back wrecker traveling behind Fuller struck the back of her vehicle, killing her instantly, he said. Fuller was pronounced dead on the scene. The drivers of the other two vehicle were not injured, Harris said. Alcohol use did not contribute to the accident, he said. The Lee County Coroner’s Office and Alabama State Troopers are still investigating the crash. Further details were not immediately available.
