A violent mugger posed as someone looking for a job at a high-end Midtown restaurant on Friday — then choked a manager before robbing her of $400, sources said. The suspect walked into Quality Meats restaurant on 58th Street near Sixth Avenue — where a steak can cost as much as $65 — and asked to speak to someone about applying for a job, according to police sources. An employee then directed him to the manager’s office, cops said. Once inside, the suspect punched the 35-year-old manager in the face and put her in a chokehold, police said. He then grabbed $400 in cash from her backpack and ran out of the restaurant, cops said. The manager was rushed to an area hospital and treated for bruising to her eye, authorities said. The suspect, described as man who is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, had not been caught by Friday night.
