Six major skyscrapers were completed or came close to completion in 2018, according to building database The Skyscraper Center. The biggest addition to Houston’s skyline is Capitol Tower in downtown, a 579-foot green office space. In second place is The Post Oak, a 499-foot luxury hotel by Landry’s. It’s the second year in a row six buildings have been completed in Houston. Before that, the last time that many skyscrapers joined Houston’s skyline was in 2003. Curiously though, it seems that streak is coming to an end since no skyscrapers are lined up to be completed until 2020.
