The Gophers football program received an oral commitment from Winona defensive end Aaron Witt for the 2020 recruiting class, he announced Monday on Twitter. “I am 100% committed to THE University of Minnesota!!!” Witt tweeted. “I’m staying HOME!” Witt, who is 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, had other offers from Iowa and Iowa State, according to 247sports.com. Witt is the second commit in Minnesota’s 2020 class, joining Rosemount receiver Jonathan Mann. Witt is considered the fourth-best recruit in the state in the 2020 class, following Minnehaha Academy linebacker Kaden Johnson, Minnehaha quarterback Jalen Suggs and Mann.
