An Elgin man faces charges after, Lake in the Hills authorities said, he impersonated a police officer and threatened two women with a look-alike gun. Gayratjon G. Gulomjonov, 20, of the 1400 block of Todd Farm Drive, is charged with aggravated robbery, false impersonation of a peace officer, unlawful restraint, battery and aggravated assault, as well as criminal damage to property and misdemeanor theft. Lake in the Hills police said officers responded shortly after midnight Thursday to the 100 block of Pyott Road. They met with Gulomjonov and located the weapon, which they identified as an airsoft gun, they said. The officers said they learned that Gulomjonov and the women had an argument, during which he robbed them by threatening them, claiming to be a police officer. Police said he was not wearing a uniform and did not claim to represent a specific department. Police said he struck one of the women in the neck and upper chest and pulled her hair. He also pushed the other woman and damaged a wall, police said. Gulomjonov was arrested and taken to the McHenry County jail.
