SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A 57-year-old DeWitt man suspected in two robberies was arrested Thursday night with 27 bags of heroin, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. Alberto Cerelli, of Court Street Road, has been charged with two counts of third-degree robbery and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, deputies said. On Monday at 11:05 a.m., deputies responded to a robbery at the Cricket Wireless Store at 175 Shop City Plaza in the Town of Salina, deputies said. An employee told deputies that an older white man demanded money from the cash register, deputies said. The employee gave the man money and the man ran through a parking lot toward Tops grocery store, deputies said. On Thursday at 5:11 p.m., deputies responded to a robbery at Lyncourt Bakery, 2205 Teall Ave., where a man forcibly stole money from the cash register, deputies said. The suspect description after both robberies — a white man wearing a hoodie and jeans, approximately 6-feet tall — was the same, deputies said. Deputies found the man had run to a silver-colored sedan, deputies said. Less than an hour later, deputies saw the suspect’s car at the Pilot Truck Stop on 7th North Street, deputies said. Cerelli was arrested with 27 bags of heroin, deputies said. He was arraigned Friday morning and bail and bond for each robbery was set at $5,000, deputies said.
