It closed a 10-play, 65-yard drive that began with four straight pass completions. The Seawolves were not able to complete two pass attempts into the end zone, however, after getting first-and-goal at the Delaware 8 and settled for the field goal. On Delaware’s previous two series, Frank Raggo had missed 35- and 34-yard field goals, with the first wide right and the second bouncing high off the right upright. In between, Colby Reeder recovered a snap that Stony Brook quarterback Joe Carbone dropped at the Seawolves’ 17-yard line. Earlier, Stony Brook had driven to the Delaware 8, where it had third-and-2. But a high snap there pushed the Seawolves back to the 22, where a fourth-down pass was incomplete. The game matches two of the top teams nationally in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) as Delaware (7-2, 5-1) is ranked 11th and Stony Brook (6-3, 4-2) is 12th.
