LSU fans were a confident group Saturday and rightfully so. Ed Orgeron and Joe Burrow just led the No. 13 Tigers to an upset win over No. 2 Georgia 36-16. In a moment following an LSU touchdown, fans had their eyes on a bigger prize: Alabama. Cheers of “We want Bama” started. The two teams meet Nov. 3. There is a history of teams asking for a shot at Alabama. So much so, it has become a thing. Last season, then-No. 2 Penn State took it to Jim Harbaugh and his then-No. 19 Michigan Wolverines 42-13. Following the game, Penn State fans had the same thought. In fact, it has become such a part of the game, SEC Shorts tackled the topic.
