The Pittsburgh Steelers are 3-2-1 and a factor once again in the AFC North on the heels of a 28-21 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. They go into their Week 7 bye with cause for optimism, but they also find themselves waiting once again on Le’Veon Bell. The running back’s holdout continues with no clear end in sight, and the question is being asked: do the Steelers even need him? James Conner has emerged as a dominant force capable of carrying a hefty workload. He has the support of Ben Roethlisberger and his teammates and coaches to continue playing a role, regardless of what happens with Bell’s situation. Conner has topped 100 rushing yards in back-to-back games, and he ranks among the top five in the NFL with 453 rushing yards (5th), 103 carries (T-4th) and seven rushing touchdowns (2nd). PennLive reporter Dustin Hockensmith tackled those subjects and looked ahead to a Week 8 matchup against the Cleveland Browns on this edition of the Pittsburgh Steelers Blitz.
