ROCKY RIVER, Ohio –Theft, Detroit Road: On Oct. 2 an employee at Minotti’s Wine and Beverage reported the theft of a $10.99 bottle of wine by a regular but unidentified customer. Linda Gandee/special to cleveland.com Suspicious, Smith Court: On Oct. 2 an apartment resident reported a man cutting the tires on a Jeep in the parking lot. Officers discovered the damaged Jeep with all four tires cut and the back window smashed out. The Jeep’s owner had no idea who may be responsible for the damage. Theft, Detroit Road: On Oct. 5 a woman reported that her wallet was stolen from Whole Foods while shopping. While an officer was at Whole Foods, a second woman reported that her purse was stolen. An investigation determined that three people seem to be working together. One will distract the victim while another steals the wallet or purse and hands it off to the third.
