RICHMOND, Vt. A Richmond native is set to wrestle at the Senior World Championships in Hungary next week. This is the second time Erin Coldgo will compete at the Senior World Championships. She’s also taken part in two Junior World Championships, two World Cups, and won a bronze at the Pan American Games. The 28 year old went to school for two years at Mt. Mansfield before moving out to Northern Michigan. She lived in Colorado Springs and trained at the U.S. Olympic Center there before moving back to Vermont last year. “It’s really exciting, and then getting to come back home, live in Vermont and then get to be in the community again and then going to represent USA and Vermont, it’s awesome,” Clodgo said. “It’s the whole year we work towards is being able to not only get to go, qualify to go, but then you actually get to wrestle out there it’s really exciting,” she said. Clodgo spent the last week training in Rome. She’ll start competing in Budapest at 72 kilos on Wednesday.
