A Depew man tried to turn a drive-through window into a climb-through window, Buffalo police said. Witnesses say Solomon Q. Dixon, 33, attempted to get into the drive-through window at a McDonald’s, blocked other vehicles and threatened restaurant employees and customers before his arrest Thursday. Employees say the incident started around 10:50 p.m. when Dixon tried to get inside the restaurant at 1338 Main St., near West Utica Street, after a dispute. This frightened the workers, police say, and Dixon made things worse by blocking other vehicles in the drive-through lane. Employees say they asked Dixon several times to leave before calling police, but he responded with vulgar and threatening language. McDonald’s employees want Dixon barred from the restaurant. He is charged with harassment, disorderly conduct and trespassing.
