Giovanni Masucci, 48, of Rolling Ridge Road in Orange, was charged with two counts of third-degree sexual assault, two counts of risk of injury to a child, fourth-degree sexual assault and second-degree reckless endangerment, court records showed. Officers took Masucci into custody Sept. 13 on an active warrant for his arrest, police said Friday. His arrest stemmed from an incident in 2014 where he was accused of having “inappropriate contact with a minor,” police said. He was released from custody after posting a $50,000 court-set bond. He appeared in court on Sept. 14. Masucci is next scheduled to appear in New Haven court Oct. 12 at 10 a.m., when he is expected to enter pleas in this case. According to court records, Masucci’s third-degree sexual assault and risk of injury charges would be felonies if he were convicted.
