Michael Rolands The Des Moines Register Published 12:30 AM EDT Oct 14, 2018 The Carlisle Wildcats evened their season record at 4-4 with a 35-21 win at North Polk on Oct. 12. The win puts Carlisle in a tie in the Class 3A District 8 standings with Bondurant-Farrar and Gilbert at 2-2. Norwalk leads the district at 4-0. Ballard and North Polk Alleman are each 1-3 at the bottom of the district standings. Carlisle will host 5-3 Bondurant-Farrar on Oct. 19 in the final game of the regular season. Bondurant-Farrar is coming off of a 21-17 loss at Gilbert. Three Carlisle players each rushed for 100 yards or more in the win at North Polk. Sophomore Nic Goodhue ran for 113 yards on 11 carries including a 58-yard touchdown run. Senior Ethan Reed had 105 yards on 18 attempts. Junior quarterback Tegan Wyckoff ran for 100 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. Junior Bryce Murray had 92 yards and a 32-yard touchdown on 13 carries. Wyckoff also completed three of seven passes for 71 yards including a 40-yard touchdown pass to senior Nolan Brunsen. Senior Troy Schnathorst had two catches for 31 yards. Sophomore Garrett Pienkowski kicked five extra points. Junior Hayden Amos had two solo sacks with senior Tommy Jones and sophomore Nathan McCormick each getting one. Seniors Ethan Reed and William Voboril combined for a sack. Senior Troy Schnathorst had a fumble recovery.
