Rick Barrett, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Published 10:50 a.m. CT May 5, 2018 CONNECT TWEET LINKEDIN COMMENT EMAIL MORE High water levels have created dangerous conditions on the lower Fox River between Neenah and Green Bay, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says. “All users are asked to exercise extreme caution when on or near the river and especially near the dams,” the Corps said in a statement. “Localized flooding is also possible near the river. Never drive into flood waters.” The warning comes on the heels of street flooding across a large swath of east-central Wisconsin following heavy rains Thursday night and Friday morning. In Hilbert, flooding washed away part of a train trestle, causing cars from a train to derail. The water level of Lake Winnebago on Friday was well above normal and was expected to remain high through the weekend and into next week.
