- If you have information that can solve a crime, call the Crime Stoppers’ hotline at 477-HELP (4357) or submit a tip to http://guam.crimestoppersweb.com. You can remain anonymous. Tips that lead to an arrest and conviction may earn you a cash reward.
- Visit your mayor’s office to update residential information. Call for required documents. The head of household must be present to make changes.
- Report burned-out streetlights, overgrown vegetation, water leaks, etc., to your mayor’s office.

Barrigada’s annual Halloween Haunted House is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Barrigada Community Center. Everyone is invited to attend this free event.
Mayor Blas and Vice Mayor Bautista would like to congratulate Barrigada’s representative to the 32nd Guam Youth Congress, Javan Santos. On Oct. 15 he was declared and certified by the Mayor of Barrigada to advocate for our islands youth and be the voice of our young adults in the government.
Residents can bring their green waste to the mayor’s office green waste disposal site located behind the mayor’s office. Items that will also be collected include white goods (refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, microwaves, ACs), tires, electronics (TV, computers, sound systems). Check with the Mayor’s Office.
Residents are advised that Animal Rights Activists are conducting a village-wide resident pet assessment. Residents are hereby informed to provide adequate housing and food to pets in order to avoid being legally sanctioned or face penalty fines. For additional information refer to Public Law 31-05, 10, Guam Code Annotated, Chapter 34, relative to Keeping Animals in Guam.
Due to the ongoing pothole repairs on Routes 8 and 16, motorists are advised to be courteous and cautious and anticipate unscheduled traffic delays.

Neighborhood WhatsApp: A Pago Bay neighborhood watch WhatsApp group was created more than a month ago. The objective of these village groups are to share real time info. among residents in your area, in an attempt to curb crime that has been plaguing our island. Vehicle Removal: The Mayor’s Office is ready to process requests for the disposal of abandon vehicles on private property. If you need a vehicle removed from your property, you must fill out and submit the required forms, available at the office. This program is being monitored by Guam EPA and the forms are necessary, for compliance.
No car washes at Shine Plaza: Shine Market has informed the Mayor’s Office that they will no longer allow car washes fundraisers to take place at Shine Plaza in Ordot. Contact the mayor’s office for more information.
Register your household: It is our goal to maintain a database record of all residents living in our village. By registering in advance, it will allow our office to promptly provide any member of your household, a verification of residency or VOR, when necessary.
Guam War Claims: Survivors of World War II are reminded that the deadline to file for a war claim for the suffering they endured is fast approaching. Please be aware that all claims must be notarized and mailed the Federal Foreign Claims Settlement Commission in Washington, D.C.
Community Outreach: Looking to perform a community outreach project? Contact the mayor’s office. We seek help from the community in cleaning up: Route 10 (Vietnam Veterans’ Hwy.): from the Route 4 intersection to Tangerine Lane, Mangilao; Route 15 (Maimai Road): from the Route 15/Route 4 intersection to the Department of Corrections and Pago Bay Beach.
Fire danger: Due to dry weather this time of the year, residents are asked not to burn trash on their property. Permits for open burning must be obtained from GFD. You can be issued a citation if you are found burning without a permit.

Parents and Guardians are reminded that the curfew law for children 17 and below is Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday at midnight. All children must be home or under the supervision of a responsible adult known to them. This also applies to summer months as well. Let’s keep our children safe this summer.
Residents needing verification of residence can call in advance to request for a VOR provided that you are already registered and no changes to your household. VOR’s will be ready the next business day.
Families with children using our various bus shelters are asked to speak to your children about the safety rules while waiting at the bus shelter. Many children are running out to the roadways without looking both ways before crossing the street. Let us work together to keep our children safe during these last few weeks of the school year.
Couples interested in participating in the WestCare Couples Date Night are advised to call the Mayor’s Office to sign up. This is a six-week session for couples. Child care is available.

Pedestrian walkways: Pedestrians are encouraged to use the proper pedestrian walkways when crossing streets. As these past months our island has seen an increase in roadway fatalities.

The MTM Mayor’s Office will host its second annual Haunted House and movie night from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the MTM community center. Admission to the haunted house and treats is is $5. All proceeds will go to the village’s youth activities and events.
Voter registration is available at the mayor’s office from 4 to 8 p.m. and ends Oct. 26. An ID is needed to register.
Residents are requested not to plant trees, shrubs, etc. by their power pedestals or under the power lines to avoid any power problems especially during heavy rains or typhoons. Contact GPA dispatch at 475-1472/3/4 to report any power problems.
Citations will be issued to anyone caught illegally dumping or littering with the tri-village community. A fine will be imposed.
All dog owners in the tri-village are requested to tie up your dogs and adhere to the leash law especially now with the school back in session. Also ensure your dogs are in appropriate shelters with adequate food and water. Any mistreatment of animals will be reported to GAIN.
Beginning Oct. 1 the mayor’s office will only pick up debris in residential areas two times a year. Guam Solid Waste offers their residential customers two free pick-ups a year for up to five large items. Contact Guam Solid Waste at 646-3111 or 647-5058 to schedule your debris removal. The Mayor’s Office will no longer remove miscellaneous debris from all rental units to include apartment/condo/duplex units.
Signs are posted throughout the tri-village for all residents who walk their dogs and they poop on the shoulder of the roads. Please be a responsible and respectful owner and pick up their litter.
Our MTM Neighborhood Watch will be strengthened and effective if the tri-village community actively participates in the program. Our mission is to ensure safety throughout the tri-village community so we ask all our residents to be diligent and keep their eyes and ears open and report all unusual activities.

Burning permits: Permits to burn are available at the mayor’s office. Burning is only allowed with a permit and with restrictions. Restrictions are printed on the burn permits and may be picked up during normal working hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
Driving classes: The Mayor’s Office continues to establish a list for Cycle III driving class. For more info, please call the Mayor’s Office. Cycle III class schedule will be announced at a later date.
Baseball field/basketball court: The baseball field and basketball courts are available for use by the community. The mayor asks that the last person at these facilities turn off the lights. On many occasions, we have had to come out after midnight to turn the lights off. Additionally, trash bins are provided at these locations. Please keep our courts and field clean.
Pets: Pets are not allowed in the baseball field or basketball courts. Please be reminded to leash/cage your pets and when walking your dogs, clean up after them. Animal waste is a threat to the health of our community.
Hot Hula: First, third, and fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Center. Fee: $5 per person.
Zumba classes: 6:45 p.m. Mon. and 6:10 p.m. Wed. $5 per session at senior community center.

Talofofo Mayor’s Office and GPA will embark on vegetation management program to clear utilities easement. This project includes pole paintings in the streets.
The Talofofo Mayor’s Office will host its annual Trick or Treat for the community at 6 p.m. Oct. 31. If anyone would like to donate hot dogs, hot dog buns, candy or any other treats for the community, you may drop it off at the Mayor’s Office. Thank you in advance for your help and support.
