Kate Middleton gives birth: Celebrities react to news of royal baby boy

The world is all a-twitter over the birth of the royal baby on Monday, and celebrities immediately chimed in to offer their congratulations or snarky comments. After it was announced that the Duchess of Cambridge had given birth to a baby boy, among the first to react were television talk queens Ellen DeGeneres, Kelly Ripa and Bethenny Frankel. “It’s a boy!” DeGeneres wrote. “So happy for my cousin Kate and the future King of England!” The 55-year-old comedian learned in 2011 that she and Kate Middleton may be 15th cousins, according to the New England Genealogical Society. “Fashion Police” host Joan Rivers chimed in with her thoughts on the baby’s name. “Congratulations to Kate & William on the birth of their baby boy!” Rivers, 80, wrote. “So relieved that his name won’t include the words Ivy or Apple.” Beyoncé and Gwyneth Paltrow may have opted for unique monikers when they had kids, but daytime talk maven Kelly Ripa suggested Prince William and his wife choose a television-friendly name. “It’s a boy!” she wrote. “Perhaps Anderson?
